The Announcement of
2020 Horiba Masao Award Postponement

Due to the global spread of the coronavirus pandemic, we have decided to postpone the 2020 Masao Horiba Awards application, selection, and ceremonies until the year 2021. The target technical field of the 2020 Masao Horiba Awards was “Optical/spectroscopic measurement technologies for life science,” focusing on analysis and measurement technologies necessary to deliver safe and quality drugs to the patients suffering from infectious diseases. We were expecting to receive applications from physicians and researchers in the medical field. The spread of coronavirus, however, has not yet seen the end of it. As we are aware and respect that many physicians and researchers in the medical field are striving to contain the coronavirus, we have decided to postpone the 2020 Masao Horiba Awards and accept applications under the same theme in 2021. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and sincerely appreciate your understanding.
